Project: Conversion of building into a six-form college

Sixth Form College

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in the prestigious project place at The City of Norwich School, Norwich. It is not often a project like this crosses your desk!  We are tasked with the conversion of an existing office building into a sixth-form college, situated in the very heart of historic Norwich.  The building is attached to a Grade II listed building (the former Library).

Notably, the building itself holds its own historical value, bearing witness to the passage of time and the stories of those who occupied it.  Graffiti is scratched into brickwork when it was believed to be a prison in 1743! Furthermore, captivating decorative ceilings, sturdy iron columns, and historic timber stud work will be preserved and showcased, serving as a captivating reminder of the building’s rich heritage.

Build Insight is committed to a collaborative approach, actively engaging with the architect Ingleton Wood right from the initial planning stage. This allows us to ensure seamless integration of our expertise and guidance, ensuring complete compliance with the building regulations, notably Approved Document B.
